• Join in the planned activities. Check to see if you need to sign up ahead of time on the Activity board or ask at the office.

• Cool off in the 2 pools – a kiddies wading pool and swimming pool. Large pool opens June 15, wading pool July 1st. Limit of 10 in each pool at one time. No alcohol, no food, no drinks, no electronics, no large floats, and no pets in the pools or enclosures. Opens at 10 am. Hours as posted.

• Hike the scenic trails or bird watch through natural wooded areas or along the meandering river. Shady Pines covers a wide area of 109 acres, check out “The Flats” it’s a popular destination with its lagoon and river; and grab a map to explore the multitude of groomed trails found at the back of our property.

• Unplug from your devices, reconnect with family, get outside and do something fun!

• Watch the setting sun streak the sky in glowing colours at Sunset Point

• Identify the star constellations at night. You’ll be amazed at the canopy of stars overhead on a clear summer night.

• Cross the bridges to discover Harmony Island, with trees and pergola (perfect for intimate weddings, picnics, group campfires, fishing, or a tranquil retreat.)

• Bicycle through the winding trails or around the park. Kids under 16 are REQUIRED to wear helmets at all times while bicycling on Shady Pines property.

• 4 km of groomed trails to discover and explore. New trails have been added.

• Take your dog for a run at the dog park. When not in the dog park, your furry family member must be kept on a leash or tie-up cable that doesn’t extend into another campsite. Pet owners are responsible to pick up after your pet and dispose of in the containers provided.

• Try your luck with fishing (catch and release). BYO fishing tackle and rods. There have been some BIG fish tales told of catches at Shady Pines, some of them even with photo proof  ;-). All catches are catch and release.

• Plan a private family gathering, party, reception at the recently renovated Chalet in the Woods or the renovated covered Pavilion. Bookings can be made at the office.

• Bounce on our Big Bouncer! Great exercise and hours of fun for all ages!

• Playground – besides the usual swings & teeter-totter you’d expect, there’s also a gaga ball pit, a large sandbox, a ship climber, slides, monkey bars, a mini zip line and the Big Bouncer.

• Join in with the regular team players on a weekend to play Bocci, Horseshoes or Darts. They will welcome new players! Or go on your own to play outside of regularly scheduled team play.

• Test your skills at the 6 hole Shady Pines Golf Course – forgot your golf clubs? No problem! Golf equipment is available at the office.
